Frequently Asked Questions

What is the pre-requisite of this 100-hours teacher training?

There is more to becoming a teacher than just taking a teacher training.  This training is open to those who are keen and diligent; and those who are willing to make an effort to a regular daily practice; and those who have the desire to teach others and to develop one’s self.

It will be advised to have a 200-hours training previously but the training is opened to dedicated practitioners even you don't have one.   However, you ARE expected to have a regular yoga practice for at least 2 years; be free from high blood pressure, recent surgery or injuries, post-natal and pregnancy.

Will I receive a certificate after the programme?

Upon successful completion and 100% attendance, students will receive a Certificate of Completion for this teacher training programme from Sow Yoga and the training hours can be added towards your Continuing Education with the Yoga Alliance.

I do not practice inversion regularly, am I eligible to join?

This program will cover alignment, functional anatomy and sequencing fundamentals to support a healthy and sustainable inversion practice.   We want to help you to find your balance in your practice and learn proper techniques to share with your students.  You will have the opportunity each day to find your way into variations of inversion as well as the supplemental strength, flexibility and coordination work to support these postures; so in the long run you can build your own inversion practice regularly or helping your students to build their practice regularly.

How do I register with Yoga Alliance?

Registration with Yoga Alliance is simple.  Once you have completed this training you will need to go to yogaalliance.org to follow their guidelines for easy registration.

Yoga Alliance charges a fee for registration.  It’s entirely your discretion whether you want to register with Yoga Alliance or not.
